What starts off as a quiet weekend with the plan to go to the mall for a movie, becomes a day of agitation as Marta's daughter, Marie, swallows some fish bones. The solution starts off with bananas and moves on to a slew of superstitious beliefs. And in all these, they have become oblivious to the doctor who lives next door. In the background of the story is a news commentary of a very popular radio station about the use of plastic and how plastic can eventually affect our waters and our marine life.

A fishing community suffers from a scarcity of harvest from the ocean. It has been months since the people started rallying in the streets to urge the government for action. Mila is entering her womanhood while all these things are happening around her. Her father is a fisherman and an activist while her mother is a housewife. Since her first period, she is prohibited to go to the ocean because the fishermen believe that women’s blood and scent drive away fishes. However, the young girl’s innocence made her question the adults’ beliefs and in her own way, she looks for answers. Mila’s curiosity leads her to the truth and dreadful event that uncovers the real cause of their community’s distress.

One night the young boy witnesses his parents being shot dead by the military. He runs. A wild chase takes place through the forest. And when the boy thinks that he has to defend himself against this wild boar of a military, he is confronted with the truth that perhaps he himself is also a wild boar.
